We Are Better Together
Our Story
The Mundaring Church of Christ was created when two local churches merged in 2004.
Coming together has made us more effective in reaching out to our community and bringing the teachings of Christ to each other. We have a thriving youth work ministry which runs alongside our many other church and community-based activities.
Meet Our Pastors
Glen Saw, Lead Pastor
Glen and his family joined our church in 2019. Glen has been married to Cathryn for 30 years. They have two adult sons, Kaleb and Jamin, and a younger daughter, Meesha. Both Glen and Cathryn have worked as teachers for many years; Cathryn in early childhood education and Glen in secondary school, teaching English, Drama and Information Technology. Glen also owned and operated an I.T. retail business for 10 years.
They have lived in country towns around the South West, such as Wyalkatchem, Dowerin, Northam, Nannup and Busselton and have loved being part of country communities and have a heart for encouraging small community churches as a result. Glen has served in different leadership roles in churches, including associate Pastor at Busselton Baptist Community Church.
Glen loves engaging with people and encouraging them to understand their walk with God. He wants to see people come into a relationship with Jesus Christ and encourages them to enjoy their relationships with each other. Helping people realise the potential God has given them is why he is here.
Chris Metcalf, Associate Pastor
Chris was brought up to know and love Jesus and when he was 10 months old, his family moved from Bunbury to the Philippines to be missionaries. Where they stayed for about 5 years before moving back to Albany.
Chris attended youth group and church every week but it wasn’t until high school where he came to realise that he needed to commit himself fully to Jesus. He had reached a tipping point where he had to decide if his parent’s faith was going to be his faith. Thankfully, by God’s grace, he put his trust in Jesus and hasn't looked back since.
After high school Chris moved to Perth to study pharmacy at university. It was at university that he met Angela and two years after they got married Chris did a ministry apprenticeship with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES). This was followed by three years study at Trinity Theological College.
